Telehealth

How does telemedicine work?

Your care is provided virtually through a secure telehealth platform. After completing your intake, you'll meet with your provider for your scheduled appointment from the comfort and privacy of your home. Your provider will review your concerns, medical history, medications, relevant laboratory information, and health goals before discussing appropriate treatment options.

After Your Visit

What happens after my consultation?

After your consultation, your provider will determine the appropriate next steps based on your individual needs. This may include:

  • Ordering or reviewing laboratory testing
  • Starting or adjusting treatment when clinically appropriate
  • Sending prescriptions to the pharmacy
  • Recommending lifestyle or wellness strategies
  • Scheduling appropriate follow-up care

Lab Testing

Before Your Appointment

Do I need laboratory testing before my appointment?

Not necessarily. Whether you need laboratory testing before your appointment depends on your medical history, symptoms, reason for consultation, and the type of care you're seeking. In some cases, your provider may be able to meet with you first and determine which laboratory testing is appropriate afterward.

Existing Results

Can I use my existing laboratory results?

Yes. If you have recent laboratory results within 6 months, you may be able to provide them for review. Your provider will determine whether the results are sufficiently recent and appropriate for your specific care needs or whether additional testing is recommended.

Additional Testing

What happens if I need additional testing?

If additional laboratory testing or other evaluation is needed, your provider will discuss this with you and provide the appropriate orders or recommendations. Additional testing may be recommended to better evaluate your health, monitor treatment, or ensure that your treatment remains safe and appropriate. Laboratory testing is billed separately from Njoi Health's clinical care fees.

Medications & Prescriptions

Included in Fees?

Are medications included in the Njoi Health fees?

No. Medications and laboratory testing are separate from Njoi Health's clinical care fees. Your provider will discuss treatment options with you and prescribe medication when clinically appropriate.

Payment

How are medications paid for?

Patients pay the dispensing pharmacy directly for their medications. Medication costs are separate from Njoi Health's consultation or ongoing-care fees.

Compounded Medications

Do you prescribe compounded medications?

Yes. Compounded medications may be prescribed when clinically appropriate and permitted by applicable federal and state requirements. Your provider will determine whether a compounded or commercially available medication is appropriate for your individual circumstances.

Receiving Your Prescription

How do I receive my prescriptions?

If medication is prescribed, your prescription will be sent to an appropriate pharmacy. The pharmacy will then coordinate directly with you regarding payment, fulfillment, and shipping or pickup, as applicable.

Ongoing Care & Follow-Ups

Follow-Up Frequency

How often will I need follow-up appointments?

Follow-up frequency is individualized. It depends on your treatment, response to therapy, laboratory results, and clinical needs. Patients who are beginning or adjusting treatment may require more frequent follow-up, while stable patients may be able to have follow-up visits at longer intervals when clinically appropriate.

Programs

Do you offer ongoing care?

Yes. Njoi Health offers ongoing care programs for eligible patients who require continued treatment and monitoring. Ongoing care may include scheduled follow-up visits, laboratory review, medication management, treatment adjustments, and secure messaging for brief care-related questions.

Membership does not mean unlimited visits or unlimited messaging. Follow-up frequency is determined by your individual treatment plan and clinical needs.
